A fun-filled weekend and an even better Tuesday

Our weekend started off fabulously. Friday night was spent on a mission involving styrofoam, spray paint, scrapbook paper, stick pins and fake flowers. We ordered chinese and didn't leave all night.
Here is the result:
I think it's pretty neat, if I do say so myself.
Saturday, we finally got Milo's haircut. Goodbyyyyye mullet. Oh goodness, it was time.

He looks pretty spiffy.

Oh yeah, and I got new kicks.
We took a short roadtrip on Sunday. I, of course, took pictures.

aaaaaand.....Happy St. Patty's Day, all.
Our St. Patty's afternoon was spent at the park with E-man and Jeni

Then, we came home and had a very summery, very green-themed dinner of green-chile burgers, kiwi, and pickles (and sea salt and black pepper chips...my new fave!)

yum.

And we finished off the night with Marlar Mint custard from Culver's.

It was a good day.
A great day.
A GREEN day.

Happy little leprechaun Day.

And happy anniversary, John and Sarah!! :-)

Unfortunately, fortunately.

A paradox of days.

So, in a throwback to good ol' Camp Phillip days, a game.

Unfortunately, Milo woke up before I left the house.
FORTUNATELY, I was up early so we got to cuddle for a few minutes.

Unfortunately, it was freezing cold when I left.
FORTUNATELY, it was very sunny.

Unfortunately, my heater was broken in my car this morning.
FORTUNATELY, it fixed itself by afternoon.

Unfortunately, McDonald's coffee machine was broken.
FORTUNATELY, I found a new place to get coffee that reminds me of a little diner from the south (it's actually a gas station in Cherry Valley...close enough ;-))

Unfortunately, only one out of our three computers worked today at school.
FORTUNATELY, my teacher helped me get 10 of the kids done with their WebQuest.

Unfortunately, I had a meeting in Dekalb after school.
FORTUNATELY, our speaker cancelled and we were done an hour and a half early.

Unfortunately, I couldn't figure out what CD to listen to on my way home.
FORTUNATELY, the radio was playing amazing songs that spoke right to me

Unfortunately, I didn't feel like cooking tonight so we just had a quick meal
FORTUNATELY, it gave Milo and me more cuddle time before bed :-D

Unfortunately, I have a lot of work to do tonight.
FORTUNATELY, it's only 8:15.

FORTUNATELY tomorrow is a new day.
FORTUNATELY, I am the momma of a sweet, smart, affectionate little boy that I love more and more everyday.
FORTUNATELY, I love my life - yes- every single fortunate AND unfortunate moment.
