most definitely delicious

I just texted the phrase "most definitely delicious" to a friend.

today was most definitely delicious.

school was....rough today. I'm quite certain my students had either
a) lost their minds completely or
b) been replaced by aliens from jupiter.

i'm actually quite certain it was the latter.

they. were. insane.

by lunchtime, 4 kids had been in 2 different fights (this is a NICE class, mind you, with NO fighting ever before), 2 kids were staying in for not doing their homework (both very smart, very "with-it" kids...usually. both informed me they "couldn't find it".) and 3 kids had been in tears. I was close.

boyohboy.

but my afternoon was absolutely delightful. milo and i spent TWO HOURS at the park with katie and kylie. he discovered sand. the sand discovered crevices I didn't even know existed.

then we came home

and grilled chicken. on the grill. outside. YUMMM-Oh!

and took a MUCH NEEDED shower. milo learned the word "beach" from our bathroom floor. yikes.

and now, I have a very soundly sleeping baby, a full tummy, a ready laptop, and a science book and social studies book open and ready for me to delve into and create some most delicious lesson plans.

oh yeah. and a brownie sundae.
